A Good Win For Umno; A Good Loss To Pakatan Rakyat...

Many post mortem reports have appeared since Pakatan Rakyat failure to wrest away Bagan Pinang from Umno. While Umno try to capitalize on this win and spin it in every way possible to hoodwink the people.

Bagan Pinang was a do-or-die battle for Umno. That explains the overwhelming presence of machinery in Bagan Pinang: Money, instant noodles and thugs aside from all other controlled agencies. This is easily the most violent by-election that I have witnessed so far.

Above all that, there was this presence of unseen force influencing the outcome of this by-election. Betting syndicate? Underworld? Illuminati? Whatever it is, they operated away from the scene. The only visible clue we can ever get close is to study the body language of the voters especially the Chinese voters. Lack of excitement and feeling uneasy seemed to be the tell tale sign in most of them.

Credit should also be given to Isa regardless of his evil doings while at helm as menteri besar. He obviously knows how to rob the state and generously take care of his grassroots and the right people.

This fact remains: Isa won and Pakatan Rakyat lost. For the vanguished, no more blame game. Search the fault within yourselves and find out what went wrong this time. It is easy to push the blame on Umno's mighty machinery. For me, this machinery has been a constant factor in all by-elections. Postal votes? Perhaps but why this big majority?

I am not going to cry over spilt milk. We went in there and gave our best shot at those odds stacked against us. We failed this time but that does not represent the end of us. For as long as we represent and uphold the truth, you will never see the end of us.

Army Town Under Siege By Thugs?

This Pas volunteer worker was beaten up by a group of Umno thugs when he tried to retrieve his brother's motorcycle which was deliberately confiscated by the goons.

And this morning at about 3:30am, a group of around 20 Mat Rempits attacked Pas Media Centre situated at Batu 3. They claimed that Pas workers have been removing their flags and banners.

Hello! I was there since last Friday and I have seen flags and banners of both parties shrewn all over the places. This is coastal Port Dickson, for heaven sake. It does gets breezy at times. Coupled by the shoddy workmanship of those hired boys.

Did we see the Pas boys go around attacking them?

They were there to instgate during nomination day and this two incidents further prove that it is also part of Umno agenda to allay fears into this by-election. They have failed miserably with their cops during those many concluded by-elections and this time, they decided to terrorize with their thugs. Hit and run like a chicken.

What is ironic is that they have mobilize a huge number of cops in Bagan Pinang and yet, they cant even prevent incidents like these from happening. They can be seen patrolling the streets during day and night. Their presence were even more noticeable during ceramahs held by Pakatan Rakyat but they cant even protect Pas Media Centre which is situated right by the main road.

Smells real fishy. No?

Try explain these incidents to us then...

More Money Needed To Match Top Varsities? Pure Lame Rational..

Universiti Malaya (UM) vice-chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Ghauth Jasmon believes that local universities need to spend a minimum of RM200 million in research to be among the top universities in the world.

He pointed out that money spent by top universities in the world is incomparable to the funds made available to local institutions.

“What I know is that the top 20 universities of the world have an operating budget of RM2 billion. If you look at that it means that to get into that league, we need lots of money,”

This is all getting very Umno now. What would one expect when politics managed to infiltrate into every corner of the system. For Umno, with money, everything can be shortcutted. And this pea brained vice councillor behaves exactly like one.

Hello Prof, please go look into your enrolment policies, the standard of the courses offered and all the fucked up red tapes that prevents brains from getting into the local varsities. No amount of money can take us anywhere even as compared to our neighbors if these brains are been kept away.

Now I know why our varsities standard have deteriorated to this level. How not to when we have vice councillor with a Prof title thinking in this line.

What a way to rationalize this need for money!

Blatant abuse of power. Stupidity at Work on the part of Home Ministry. Malaysia is being run by a group of Morons! Would you believe this..

At least two Chinese-language dailies have been ordered not to report on Isa Samad's suspension from Umno, after he was found guilty of buying votes during the party polls in 2004. Read more Here,,

The reason given was that the suspension is a widely known old fact and that Isa has already been punished. As such, it would be best to let the voters to decide for themselves.

Do we need those Chinese dailies or other MSM to report the truth behind Isa Samad?

All we need is to take a drive down the coastal road of Port Dickson. 22 years as Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, he singlehandedly destroyed the serenity of PD with his massive land reclamation project. With reclamation, PD is and will never be the same again. Abandon projects now litter the coastal line, namely The Water World project and the Miami of the East project with a few more that still stand out like an eyesore. Even the beach of Royal Yatch Club was not spared.

It doesn't takes a rocket scientist to figure out the rational behind these developments. Title deeds were given on those reclaimed land and development started to boom. If it wasn't for the money, tell me what is..

Obviously, these development brought negative impacts to the tourism industry of PD. And so conveniently in this Bagan Pinang by-election, they decide to change PD image to one call The Army Town. Why? Gone are those fine sand which used to line the beach. Gone are the mangrooves.

22 years as MB of the state, basic amenities still remained like it was 22 years ago.

Rakyat didahulukan. Isa? 'Duit dipersembahkan' is more like it.

Scenes From Bagan Pinang On Nomination Day...

I know this is a bit late. But i dont really care. Just want to share my experience here. It's not an easy task each time we set out for a by-election in a group. Being a multi-tasker, I have to take care of needs. So that explains well for my late posting.

Allow me to take you on a pictorial journey here.....

Was jolted up pleasantly from my short sleep at around 5:30am as was arranged the night earlier that some of us would leave early. By the time, we hit the street, we noticed that PAS supporters have already started their walk towards the assigned gathering place some 1Km or so away. We parked our car and joined the early birds. And the camera started clicking away...

By the time we arrived at the gathering point, there were already few hundred of supporters there. Legitimate MB Nisar was also present with some of his Perak colleague and supporters. Everybody was in jovial mood. That somehow tells me that there are more to come later.

These boys were our pillar of support during the Manek Urai by-election. One of them noticed and came to me. He then led me to his camp. The organiser of Tok Guru markas in Sg Peria were here in full force. What a reunion with some old friends.

Meanwhile further down the road near the nomination centre, supporters from the coalition parties were already waiting for the arrival of PAS candidate. The atmosphere was carnival like,

The grand entrance began.

Sight of them led by Amal boys in red came marching in from afar. What a sight to behold! Sea of green flags took over. The crowd roared into chants. Takbir! Allahuakbar! Reformasi! Rasuah! etc.. rang through the air.

As the candidate and leaders were led into the nomination centre, torrential rain came pelting down on us. But it definitely did not dampen our jovial spirit at all.

We know we came here with a Mission and the Mission is to enjoy ourselves while fighting against the evils of the Barisan Nasional regime. We know what our setbacks are but we intend to give them a good run for their money. No pressure on us.

Trouble ahead as the group maliciously came gatecrashing from the back into our territory designated by EC and PDRM. Amal boys were caught unaware as the first group marched into their territory. As the second group appeared, they were stopped from going through. Amal boys told them off nicely but their arrogance and intention were clear. They want to go through and nothing is going to stop them. When negotiation failed, the Amal boys held on to their stand firmly. You want to go through? Go through us first. Where were the fucking police and their FRU? No where in sight! Except for some traffic police begging to these thugs to obey the law. The Amal boys managed to push them back some 500m away and in a peaceful way too.

And this lone helicopter was hovering above monitoring the tense situation. Probably waiting for some mayhem to break out before they call in for reinforcement to protect their goons. I was hoping for it to happen as it was clear that these thugs had broke all the laws and maybe have my share in kicking some asses of those paid instigators. Some of them were also involved in Permatang Pasir by-election.

We were the front line sent into enemy line to scout around and set up our operation centre before the remaining of the troops march into Bagan Pinang. We arrived before noon and noticed that opposing party's flags were already up all over the constituent of Bagan Pinang.

The presence of PDRM right in the middle of Port Dickson town betrays the peaceful atmosphere. People here generally eat and play together despite their differences in political view.

A short stop at Pas Markas Induk. Volunteers were busy setting up their machinery. Reaction were kind of mix when asked about their chances of winning this by-election. Both sides maintain their confidence of winning this one..
