Kugan's Final Journey: A Message From The People...

The mainstream media can spin what they want with regard to the crowd. There were at least 2000 people from all walks out there yesterday.
We were there not only to give Kugan a dignified final journey but also to get this message to the government that WE, The People, want the Police Act to be abolished and we want Kugan's murderers to be sent to Hell. We also want the Selangor state CPO, IGP and the Home Ministry to be held liable for this barbaric murder. The People is saying Enough is Enough to those Abuses of Power by the police force.
Anak Bangsa Malaysia Grouping At Binary College

I could not provide further pix here as my camera battery decided to fail me at the wrong moment. When we reached the junction heading toward the Hindu cemetery, there were about 200 people gathered there waiting for the arrival of the hearse. We were accepted by them with ease as all of us shared the same cause. The same euphoric spirit can be felt when the Hindraf took the street on Nov 25th which jolted the people from their slumber and brought about the March 8th election victory. This is another one of those moments but only to be marred with Kugan's death..

Rest In Peace Anak Bangsa Malaysia, Kugan and my condolences to his family.

Reunion Night For Anak Bangsa Malaysia: A Comeback With Style...

Last Sunday, we held our reunion vigil despite weeks of intimidation by our lawless police force under the helm of Home Minister Syed Hamid, IGP Musa Hassan and CPO Khalid. Last Sunday wasn't any different. Those running dogs of theirs were there waiting and ready to pounce on us at where we always gathered. They knew that we would vigil in solidarity with PKR's anti-Gaza vigil but they were restricted in the presence of our YBs. It would have been a different picture if we have gather at our usual place. The bottomline is that We Made A Comeback each time and this time we made it with style.
Yes, it was another good vigil. It was a mixture of old and new faces plus those recognizing support from anti-Gaza vigilers. There were continous rings of cheers to lighten up the already carnival-like atmosphere. Mansuh! Mansuh! Mansuhkan ISA! Hidup! Hidup! Hidup Rakyat! I estimated the crowd to be in the region of 500-600, with many more inside the auditorium. Fantastic mood all around. More at People's Parliament.

The Home Minister and IGP Owe The People An Explanation...

23 year old Kugan A/L Ananthan was only a car theft suspect. And this is what happened to him while he was held in police custody.

Dead. According to our infamous Selangor CPO, Kugan collapsed and died after he was given a glass of water during the investigation. But when the relatives barged into the morgue, this was what they found. The Truth behind Kugan's death.

Kugan was brutally beaten to death Alive during one of their so called investigation session. Otherwise, how are they going to explain all those bruises and cuts that were inflicted on Kugan's body. And instead of explaining to the people, the police arrogantly tried to sidetrack the whole episode by reverting the issue to morgue barging by several deputy ministers.
Sure looked like our police force are just a bunch of licensed thugs or henchmen interpreting laws their own ways and taking law into their own hands. Wait a minute: What am I talking here? Law? Is there law involve here? Lawless police, I should say.
It should be interesting from now. Especially how our Home Minister, IGP or perhaps, CPO Khalid is going to spin their stories with all these glaring evidences.
It would be a grave mistake to let those responsible off the hook. It doesn't anchors well to The People's expectation. The People want those responsible to be sent to Hell!
This Cowardice and Brutal Act is a Disgrace to the Nation and The People! And this is not the isolated case. There were more cases dated few years back. Stay tune for the compile list.
Update:

23 people died in the country’s police lock-ups between 2002 and July 2003. Out of this total, 16 died in 2002. During the same period, 425 prisoners died during their incarceration, 237 of them in 2002; this is an average of 19.75 deaths per month. The monthly average for the first seven months of 2003 rose to 26.86 deaths per month, with 188 fatalities reported in prisons nationwide. Deputy Home Minister Chor Chee Hueng refused to specify the cause of the deaths.
