Mesra Rakyat Ended On Different Note Despite The Same Outcome...

Rushing from our solidarity with Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to our weekly Malam Mesra Rakyat gathering, we were again told to disperse by the cops. There were more than a dozen SBs surrounding us with more uniformed troops backing them up. FRU were called in too.

Eventhough I was kinda pissed with them worms for stopping our peaceful vigil, I must give credit to this young copper, Najib (pic above) who approached us and advised us to disperse in such a diplomatic manner rather than those earlier incidents where his seniors just shouted through their hailer and threatened us. The Whisperer takes this as a good sign for our future police force when all the authoritative old ones die off or put to sleep.
Our request for our National Anthem to be sang before dispersing were entertained. After the National Anthem and a round of applause, most of us offered this young officer a handshake and a 'thank you'. Officer Najib, The People shall remember your kind gesture. Perhaps, you werent agreeable with your superior's order but that is inmaterial. What matters most is that the manner you handled this situation put all your superior to shame and that includes CPO Khalid Abu Bakar, IGP Musa Hassan and Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar.
My Salute to this officer and all the braves who came to stand by us unconditionally.
More report and pics here: Sanjiun, Paradise Storm and kkitsam.

Missed meeting Officer Najib! Drats!

I loved the pictures of our friends in "red". Very nice, indeed.

What was the outcome of your meeting with the Ahmadiyyah group? Those guys seem totally harmless to me. The problem again lies with Hasan Ali, that powerhungry bogus PASman whose mentor was Muhammad Muhammad Taib!

Good to hear that young officers like Najib (what irony!) are at least POLITE when carrying out instructions from Humpty-Dumpty. Looks like young Najib is the redemption of both the name "Najib" as well as the PDRM :-)

Office Najib is kind, but the others are not that kind. Barricade in front of the Lotus Cinema? That is not kind.

Perhaps the ex-officer was given warning by DSAI? :)

Bro Antares,

With regard to Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, when we posed them a question on what can we do to help, they could not respond to us.

My take is that they still want to be on low profile and continue with their beliefs and community work.

Finally, Ahmadiyya Community practiced Islam with emphasis on Humanity as oppose to our administration which politicizes and uses Islam to justify their ends.

What we can do is make more people aware of the truth behind this peace loving community so that they will be allowed to co-exists with us.

'This World Is Big Enough For All OF Us'.

In Zorro's blog, partly written :

"However, noticed that the other side is just waiting for the crowd to light up the candles before they can pounce on them...so for next week's vigil, maybe all of us bring a Malaysian flag and see what they will do to all the proud Malaysians. And also, as a token, maybe Lotus restaurant can introduce "candlelight dinner" for every Sundays, beginning next Sunday. Heck, we deserve "candlelight dinners" unless the Govt says it's a strict no-no candlelight dinner from now on, which will leave all lovers with no "candlelight dinners" to celebrate the coming valentine's day....
And next week, will be there amongst the diners...if u know what i mean...

On another note, I wish to disagree with you ragrding the Ahmadiya sect. However, I do not intent to dwell on the matter but may I suggest that u meet up with Islamic scholars, like Dr Hassan Din (who is politically neutral) or any of those Halaqah (TV9 slot) panelist such as Ustaz Ravi of KUIM) and they will be able to give you a better representation regarding the sect and its difference with the mainstream Islam. On that note, Hassan Ali may be right in his actions, based on his principles which might not be in tandem with yours.

Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...
