Don't lie to us again, Najib...

Najib wants Indians, Chinese to back BN
MalaysiaKini
Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak made a plea to the Chinese and Indian communities in Permatang Pauh - come back to the Barisan Nasional's fold.

He told them to reject the opposition and vote for Umno's Arif Shah Omar Shah in the Aug 26 by-election.
And he had one more word of counsel - do not gamble with your children's future by supporting the opposition candidate who had been making false promises.
"Do not be easily hoodwinked by the opposition promises and fall for their trickery because if we were to believe them, we will be quarrelling with each other," he told members of these two communities in Permatang Pauh yesterday. Read more here....
Good try, Najib. But i definitely beg to differ. If you looked back into history, the Opposition never had any chance to govern this country. Even when the Opposition came close enough in 1969, some smart arses came out with that idea of a racial riot.
Howevr, your 'counselling' statement is very much welcome at a critical time like this. At least , you help to remind the Indians, Chinese and the Malay not to gamble away their children's future by continuing to support BN who had been making empty promises for the past 40 years. The Opposition never had the chance to govern so there is no track record of them making empty promises. And what the Opposition had done with the 5 states since March 8th despite all the sabotages is enough to put BN to shame.
Yes right, some of our parents made that mistake by gambling away our future but, enough is enough. Many of us took the gamble during March 8th and will continue to do so and this time it is for our own future and those of our children.

It all boils down to one simple truth... BN had failed the Country and her Rakyat Miserably.

Whisperer, this is so true. His statement is more reflective of themselves.

I am so amused by his statement and his stupidity.

God help us all if he ever become our PM.

Doesn't it sound like he's looking at the past from a totally different window from us? Cos what he's seeing is TOTALLY different from what we're seeing, isn't it?

See what being in UMNO/BN too long did to his mental faculty? It is all screwed up.

He should join PR and hopefully mixing with intelligent people there would improve his IQ. Or at the very least he wouldn't talk crap anymore.

LOL... I commented on the same topic and I think Mkini purposely headlined it in such a manner knowing we will die laughing reading it.

Veteran opposition leader Lim Kit Siang has come to Anwar’s aid.

Lim openly backed Anwar, arguing that the former education minister should be credited for showing regret for what he had done. (Malaysiakini.com)

Below is an extract of the story from Malaysiakini.com:

Lim was one of the 119 politicians, social activists, unionists, Chinese educationists and religious missionaries rounded up under the massive crackdown. He was detained for one-and-a-half year without trial under the Internal Security Act.

“Anwar has regretted for what he had done then. Shouldn’t he be given credit for it?” he asked the 400-odd crowd in Mandarin, who responded him with a loud ‘yes’.

“Has Umno, MCA or Gerakan regretted for what they did then? Who was the main culprit then? It was the Umno Youth chief then Najib Abdul Razak - the man who is leading the by-election campaign in Ijok now,” the DAP supremo added.

“He (Najib) had made the most extreme statement where he wanted to bathe the keris (Malay dagger) with Chinese blood. Why nobody asks him to apologise? Where is MCA and Gerakan? Do you think they dare to ask Najib to apologise?” thundered Lim.

The crowd responded with shouts of ‘they dare not!’ Continuing, Lim told the crowd that Anwar was courageous enough to show regret, unlike Najib and the two BN Chinese-based parties.

No point telling Najib not to lie again, my friend. Lying is the only thing he knows how to do - even though the poor fellow does it so badly, despite years of practice. Might as well tell him to pack up and exile himself and his Lady Macbeth to some remote spot like Tierra del Fuego - or spend the rest of his life in jail. I think you would burst into tears if you only knew how much of our money Najib has squandered as defence minister - mostly buying support for his ambition to be PM! And let's not even mention the Mopngolian woman....

What future is he talking about?
When we have to work so hard to be self sufficient and end up like beggars when we open our mouths to ask the BN govt to be fair?
WE ARE VOTING FOR CHANGE BECAUSE WE DO NO SEE A FUTURE IN THE PRESENT BN GOVT.
We see a potential for a 'future' in a new govt!
Do you Mr. Deputy PM register that?!

Get Najib and Badawi to swear on the Holy Koran that they will not lie anymore, then they can have my vote.....on second thought....very doubtful on Badawi...

Asking PM and DPM to swear on the Koran is a good suggestion! Will they swear that they have not lied several times ?
